KLCB Off-Season: Rest, Reflect, Recharge | FAQ

It’s Time to Pause and Pour Back Into Ourselves

As we close out a year of impactful community work—empowering residents, reducing crime, and beautifying our beloved Lake Como—it’s time to honor the importance of rest and renewal. At KLCB, we believe that prioritizing self-care strengthens our ability to serve.

That’s why we’re introducing the KLCB Off-Season: a dedicated time to rest, reflect, and recharge.

What Is the KLCB Season?

The 2025 KLCB Season runs annually from March 10 to November 30, during which we actively implement programs and campaigns designed to inspire, empower, and mobilize the Lake Como community. These 38 weeks are filled with impactful initiatives like cleanups, public safety campaigns, leadership development, and community engagement events.

What Is the KLCB Off-Season?

The KLCB Off-Season is our time to rest unapologetically, reflect deeply, and recharge fully. From December 1 to January 15, KLCB staff, volunteers, and OMB members step back from organizing to focus on self-care and reflection. This pause allows us to nurture our well-being, celebrate accomplishments, and prepare for the work ahead.

What Is the KLCB Planning & Development Season?

During the Planning & Development season from January 16 to March 9, the KLCB team returns to design and refine the programs, campaigns, and initiatives that will define the upcoming KLCB Season. This period is dedicated to strategy, innovation, and collaboration to ensure that 2025 is a transformative year for the Lake Como neighborhood.

Why an Off-Season?

At KLCB, we know that rest is revolutionary. By pausing our efforts, we model what it means to take care of ourselves and each other. Rest empowers us to reflect on the impact we’ve made, renew our spirits, and return to our work energized and inspired.

What Happens During the Off-Season?

  • Scheduled Social Media Posts: Stay inspired with pre-planned content celebrating this year’s wins and offering inspiration for rest and reflection.

  • Resource Sharing: We’ll provide tools and resources to help you embrace rest while staying connected to KLCB’s mission.

  • Encouraging You to Rest Too: While we take this time to recharge, we invite you to do the same. Let’s use this season to cultivate joy, reflect on our shared accomplishments, and prepare for our “Best Year Ever” in 2025.

Looking Ahead:

We’ll return on January 16, 2025, ready to develop fresh programming for the upcoming season. Mark your calendars for March 10-15, 2025, when we’ll officially launch the 2025 KLCB season with renewed energy and a bold vision for the year ahead.

Join Us in Resting Unapologetically

Let’s take this time to model self-care, deepen our connections to ourselves and our community, and make space for joy. Together, we’ll come back stronger—ready to create a cleaner, safer, and more connected Lake Como.

💛🦁💜Thank you for all you’ve done to support KLCB this year. 💛🦁💜

Let’s rest, recharge, and make 2025 our Best Year Ever!
