KLCB Release of Liability, Hold Harmless & Indemnification Agreement
In consideration of the opportunity to engage in volunteer work cleaning litter and improving the community through Keep Lake Como Beautiful (KLCB), I/we, the undersigned, on behalf of myself/ourselves, my/our heirs and assigns, hereby waive all claims for injuries, damages, or losses to my person or property that may be caused directly or indirectly by any act, omission, or negligence of Keep Lake Como Beautiful (KLCB), its parent organization, Proof of Life Community Development Corporation (PLCDC), their officers, agents, and employees, in the execution of volunteer work.
I/we, the undersigned, my/our heirs and assigns, hereby covenant and agree to indemnify and hold harmless KLCB, PLCDC, their officers, agents, and employees, from any and all costs, charges, claims, demands, losses, damages, causes of action, suits, and liabilities of any kind, including the expenses of litigation, court costs, and attorney’s fees, for injuries to, or the death or illness of, any person, or for damage to any property arising out of or in connection with my involvement in volunteer work, regardless of whether such injuries, illness, death, or damages are reasonably foreseeable or contemplated by the parties to this agreement.
I/we, the undersigned, my/our heirs and assigns, hereby further covenant and agree not to sue KLCB, PLCDC, their officers, agents, or employees for any matter arising from the execution of volunteer work.
I/we hereby give permission to Keep Lake Como Beautiful (KLCB), Proof of Life Community Development Corporation (PLCDC), and their authorized agents to use media, including but not limited to photographic, video, audio, and electronic images and recordings of me/us, for use by KLCB and PLCDC. This includes but is not limited to publication in informational, educational, or promotional materials, advertising campaigns, and other media formats such as newspapers, magazines, fliers, newsletters, television, slide presentations, handouts, billboards, postal mailers, email, websites, social media, or any other form of public distribution.
I/we acknowledge that all media submitted by me/us to KLCB or PLCDC becomes the property of Keep Lake Como Beautiful and Proof of Life Community Development Corporation and may be used at their discretion.
This agreement is made in consideration of the mutual benefits derived from volunteer participation, including my desire to improve the community and support KLCB’s mission. I understand that no monetary compensation is provided for participation in volunteer activities.
This agreement applies to all volunteers, including persons under the age of 18.
