On My Block (OMB)
Resident roles for bounded, supported, documented neighborhood action.
On My Block is KLCB’s resident-role operating system for converting neighborhood concern and interest into practical block-level action.
OMB builds resident capacity without transferring City, agency, property-owner, or other institutional responsibilities onto residents.

A network, not a ladder.
Residents do not have to complete every role.
No role is a rank.
No resident is required to move through the system in a fixed sequence.
A resident may enter the lane that fits the work, readiness, and support available.

Resident roles

BLOCK BUILDER
The generalist action role.
Block Builders carry out bounded, visible neighborhood work such as cleanup support, Porch-to-Curb actions, event or project support, neighbor invitations, materials assembly, and other defined tasks with a clear definition of done and a receipt.

CODE CONNECTOR
A specialist civic-navigation and documentation role.
Code Connectors help recognize conditions, identify the legitimate route, preserve receipts, understand process information, connect to resources when appropriate, recheck, and follow through.
They are not inspectors, enforcement agents, attorneys, investigators, or substitutes for Code Compliance.

LIONS WATCH
A specialist safety-awareness role.
Lions Watch focuses on lawful observation, minimum-necessary documentation, correct routing, receipts, follow-through, and pattern learning.
It is not patrol, surveillance, policing, investigation, confrontation, or enforcement.
Lions Watch is adult-only at launch.

ADOPT YOUR BLOCK
A sustained stewardship role.
An adopter helps maintain a reliable rhythm of connection, action, receipts, and follow-through around the block where they live.
Adoption does not create ownership, supervisory authority, or enforcement power over neighbors.
