KLCB 7-Day Challenge Hub
Your home base for the 7-Day Challenge.
Use the daily tiles below to move through the challenge at your own pace. Each day gives you one small action, one reflection prompt, and one Ready Step to help you know your block better, connect with one neighbor, document what matters, take one respectful block touch, save receipts, and choose your next Porch2Curb step.
7 days. 5 minutes a day. One block at a time.
By Day 7, you will be Porch2Curb Ready — meaning you know where to start, what to do, and how to choose your next step.
Coach audio/video notes will be added here as they are recorded.
For now, start with the tile, complete the action, and use the Daily Check-In to log your progress.
Follow the 7-Day Path
DAY 1
See Your Block Clearly
Theme: Notice before you act.
Quick Guide: Start with awareness, not complaint. Look for 3 wins and 3 fixes on your block, porch, window view, or park edge. Snap one photo or write one quick note.
Prompt: “I noticed ______ near ______. One small fix that would help is ______.”
Ready Step: I can see my block clearly.
DAY 2
Meet One Neighbor
Theme: Listen before you lead.
Quick Guide: Ask one neighbor what would make the block stronger, safer, or more connected. You can ask in person, by text, by phone, or through a quick message. The goal is to listen.
Prompt: “What would make this block stronger, safer, or more connected?”
Ready Step: I can connect before I act.
DAY 3
Observe + Document
Theme: Turn concern into a clean record.
Quick Guide: Choose one condition, concern, or visible issue. Document it clearly and respectfully. Report only where appropriate.
Use clean language:
What did you see? | Where was it?
When did you notice it? | Why does it matter?
Ready Step: I can document what matters.
DAY 4
Learn the Lanes
Theme: Find where you fit.
Quick Guide: By now, you have seen your block, listened to a neighbor, and practiced documenting what matters. Today, notice which next step or action lane sounds like you.
Possible next steps:
-
Stay a Block Subscriber.
-
Try a volunteer lane for 30 days.
-
Adopt Your Block.
-
Ask about OMB training.
-
Join Office Hours: LIVE.
-
Invite one neighbor.
-
Not sure yet.
Ready Step: I can name my next direction.
DAY 5
Make One Respectful Block Touch
Theme: Contact, not confrontation.
Quick Guide: A block touch is one small, respectful action that moves the relationship, condition, or information forward on your block.
Use the KLCB rule: Invite. Inform. Offer. Exit.
Examples:
-
Text one neighbor.
-
Share one helpful resource.
-
Leave one door hanger.
-
Pick up one small visible area.
-
Invite someone to the challenge.
-
Follow up on something you noticed.
Safety Note: No shame. No arguments. No private property. No pressure.
Ready Step: I can take action without causing harm.
DAY 6
Save the Receipts
Theme: Proof over drama.
Quick Guide: A receipt is proof that something was observed, attempted, completed, shared, submitted, or followed up on.
Receipts can include:
-
Photo saved on your phone.
-
Screenshot.
-
MyFW / 311 number.
-
Before / after photo.
-
Neighbor invite.
-
Door hanger count.
-
Short note.
-
Reflection.
-
You do not have to upload it here. Save it. KLCB may follow up if needed.
Ready Step: I can prove the work happened.
DAY 7
Choose Your Next Step
Theme: Do not stop at finished.
Quick Guide: Today is not just about finishing. It is about choosing what comes next.
Reflect:
I noticed.
I did.
I need.
Then choose how you want to stay connected.
Porch2Curb Ready means:
I know where to start.
I took action.
I chose my next step.
Ready Step:
I saw my block.
I took action.
I chose my next step.
I am Porch2Curb Ready.
